Helping individuals, couples, and families maximize their potential, improve their relationships, which results in a better life are my goals. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. However, in addition, I hold three degrees. I have an MA with a specialty in Marriage and Family Therapy; a BA in Psychology; a BS in Special Education. My experience from the last 8 years of working in the Mental Health field incorporated with my skills from my teaching background has expanded my awareness, strengthened my abilities and skills, and enhanced my expertise.

One of my goals in the counseling process is to make each client feel a sense of accomplishment after every counseling session. I have 6 years expertise working with children and adult population through my experience in Urgent family care and family intervention where I have treated those looking their mental health and overall well-being.

I specialize in helping people improve their relationships, move out of stuckness, and reduce their anxiety, depression and anger. I am inspired by and honored to do this work. I provide solution-focused therapy, this method along with my experience and background has helped me work effectively and efficiently with individuals feeling stuck, with couples having relationship issues. I offer my Service in my office in Carrollwood and Tampa, Florida.

Christine Whittaker, LMFT has worked diligently to establish a reputation for quality service, and integrity. Referrals come not only from clients and their families, physicians, attorneys and other professionals but also from court orders from Judges.


Christine Whittaker, LMFT is highly trained, experienced and licensed. Her continued modernized approach helps her embrace and encompass an exceptional understanding of interpersonal familial relationships. Not only is she a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with extensive experience, expertise and skills with children and adults; she actively uses her expertise and skills in her work as a Supreme Court Certified Family Divorce Mediator, Certified Child Custody Evaluator/Social Investigator and as a Parent Coordinator in training.


Christine Whittaker, LMFT works with all ages (from preschool to elderly) and virtually all types of clinical problems. She individualizes clinical treatment to each client, and comes with compassion, empathy and an exceptional ability to understand your needs and to “put herself in your shoes” so she can truly understand your situation and unmet needs.
